Regulations about the low-emission zone in Antwerp, Ghent and Brussels

Since February 1, 2017, Antwerp introduced the first low-emission zone (LEZ) in Flanders. In the meantime, Brussels has followed this example and as of the beginning of 2020, Ghent will also have its own LEZ.

Get rid of fogged-up windows!

You get into your car and two minutes after departure your windscreen is completely fogged up and you can no longer see a thing. Extremely dangerous! Fortunately, condensation on your windows can be quickly resolved, and we're happy to give you some tips.

Preventative treatment

If you want to prevent your windows from fogging up, you can treat your windows with an anti-condensation agent or with a cloth dipped in washing-up liquid. Putting a dehumidifier in your car also helps to avoid fogged-up windows.

If you want to drive your car on the road, you are legally obliged to purchase at least a civil liability insurance. This insurance covers the damage you cause to third parties with your car. Damage to your own car is not included.

Open the windows first

Did your car stand in the sun all day? If so, open the windows first so that the hot air can escape. After a minute or two your car will be well ventilated and you will be able to turn on the aircon.
